. Copthorne was the venue.I had to borrow Kammy's spare pole, as mine was inadequate. I drew permanent peg 24 on the Lower Canal, opposite an island. I was set up and ready to go when one of the pole sections slipped into the water and sank (Good Start)
. I managed to retrieve it. Two hours were spent fishing near the island all i had to show were 2 Chub and a Carp. A move into the middle brought results straight away with the same. I had fed the near side adjacent to some aquatic plants from the off. So i gave it a whirl. Constant bites right through to the end of the match. I ended up with 21lbs 10oz. Not bad for my first attempt in 10 years. I also lost my Landing net head, netting a Carp
That was also rescued
