Hi lads, I'm planning on doing a sesh on vale Park next monday, I haven't fished this spot before and I've been doing some research on here ( looking though old posts, information on the venue, etc) . I've checked the tides and it looks ok for next monday evening. I'll be fishing it 3 hours on the ebb and maybe an hour on the flood, trying for a thornie or two and maybe a smoothound. I'll try and suss out where's best to park. So if anyone wants to join me we could have a laugh and catch a few fish between us.Vale Park.

Local Brian is your man for Vale Park, however it is a venue I've fished once or twice.
I park at the bottom of Magazine Lane, right by the prom, go down the steps there and walk straight out perpendicular. There's a small gulley to navigate, I wear waders to get an early start, Wellies are usually okay by 2 1/2 hours before low though. As regards tactics, it's like Perch but a bit shallower and generally less snaggy (and much less busy!)
Not sure what else is happening this weekend, if I find myself at a loose end I might pop over and join you.
