Gents , fishing an open at Walney channel on Sunday , never fished there before . Anyone got any advice?

Never heard of it before.
What stretch of it will the match be held at?

All I know is it’s on the Barrow side of the channel. Heard it’s big but plaice flounders and coalies. Picking up snippets info but basically going in blind

was thinking of fishing that myself but like you said be fishing a bit blind and will fish nearer to home if weathers right .there are / was some huge plaice in the channel i remember reading about big plaice coming out in the match years ago at the deep water births wherever that is.
Will look forward to hearing how it fished .
Ged stevens or Gareth griffiths are your men up there.
