Only way mate is park in first car park by the marina walk up the side to the top and hope the gate is open or you have to scramble round the wire on the rock just take your time

I'll definitely be having a few sessions there this winter

For me it would be mid range tides 25ft/27ft,as the tidal pull and the weed it brings is manageable...any higher you will have lots of weed and the pull is very strong...still fishable but hard work,and if you get weed and have to stop reeling close in,your gear/fish will be in the bottom of the rocks and most likely snagged up. It was a different story at the other end by the chopper pad,as there was a big back eddy formed by the tide running back along the Gladstone wall...you could fish big tides there with no probs with a lazy lob in to the slack water.
