With time and tide against us Pete & I decided on a trip to an undisclosed long thin Northwest Stillwater (canal at Lydiate). Long story short, loads of Action from small pike...

Even managing two on the bank at the same time at one point with this the biggest..

And even a couple of Perch, this the smallest as a chunky two pounder came off as I tried to handline it out the water [SMIRKING FACE]

All in all a cracking morning with loads of action.

Course fishing has never really done it for me but lure fishing for freshwater preds is definitely something that I want to have a crack at. That report has whetted my appetite even more. Great stuff Mark
