Weather was nice and sunny no wind to start with but got up a bit towards but was still comfortable.
Trolled Rapala Super Shads, Sebile Acast minnows and soft foreplays along the far bank. I didn't manage any Pike but this Sea Trout (my first ever) made up for it The fight was great and I knew right from the off it wasn't a Pike. Got it to the Yak and all hell broke loose. I was prepared for Pike which IN COMPARISON are mild mannered and easily managed and in honesty unless it was a double would of gone back without a photograph. This fish was angry and being my first I wanted a picture so I promptly lifted the fish aboard and I don't know how it managed it but in one swift flap it managed to insert all three points of a treble into my brand new dry suit. Side cutters where deployed and soon I was free non the wiser, A few pictures of the fish and it was slipped back also non the wiser.
If I had more money though I'd go for something else about the 12 foot mark for some speed
