A good variety of species and were recorded from this upriver section of the Otterspool promenade including flounders, plaice, whiting, codling, eels and rockling a cod of 6-15-0 for Morecambe's Dave Hutchinson. On-form local matchman Joe Perry notched up another win- his winning length of 616 centimetres included three sizeable codling. Gordon Thornes' 3rd place bag of 17 flounders included the longest flatfish, a specimen of 40 cms.
Joe Perry’s two series wins so far keep him ahead of Bill Lindfield with one win to his credit, renewing last year’s rivalry that saw them share the 2011 championship.
