7HT Mag vs 525 Mag

Post by spudgun »

Would you say the casting ability of the 7HT Mag is far better than the 525 Mag?

Would this out weigh the rugged build of the 525 compared to the 7HT?

Don't really like the design of the 7HT other than the mag system but don't really think it'll make much difference over the 525?

What do you think?

90% of anglers would get the same casting distance with both reels. So I would go for the 525 as it gives you the option of using it over rougher ground and off the rocks. Like the Abu's and Akios reels, the 7HT is ideal for clean beaches.

Not finally treating yourself to some new gear are you?
Make a difference - take home 1 piece of someone's angling litter next time you are out fishing.

It'll be the 1st time since I started fishing. Keep meaning to video all my knackered tackle (ha) to show you what a lazy and stingey angler uses. Should be a good laugh.
