Final NWASAC round of 2011 P.M.s Championship , Saturday 10th December 2011, Cayley Promenade, Colwyn Bay .
A window in what had been very stormy weather provided a calm stage for the final act of this year’s championship. There was very little on offer apart from whiting in the calm sea- the good news was that there were plenty of them.
England Youth Squad member, Michael Brookes caught the most, totalling over 5 metres for the win and Joe Perry’s 6th place gave him enough points to equal Bill Lindfield’s score in the final net scores meaning that they share the 2011 Championship, a fitting end to a hard fought series. The 2010 champion, John Waugh made third, thanks to a late run of good results.
