Brewery Lane

I`ve been promising to take my nephew out fishing,so with the good weather i thought we`d head to the cut in search of some tench n bream....got to Brewery lane for 7am and set up a couple of hundred yards to the right of the bridge. You forget just how difficult fishing a long pole can be for a beginner....not being able to hold out on the far lillies and a few tangled rigs did`nt help, but Lee will soon get the hang of handling the pole...

I managed to snare a few nice fish in between sorting Lee`s gear out....2 big bream and tench with a few roach n perch thrown in...good job it was`nt a match as i missed the keepnet with the biggest tench...schoolboy error
Another fella was fishing 50 yds further on and had a nice net of tench n bream...he also had strife from eels taking his caster baits....no such probs for me with corn n bread doing the damage...pulled out of a few tench too trying to keep them out of the pads....good morning with plenty of bites.
