This is a Wirral venue. Set SatNav for junction of Leasowe Rd/Pasture Rd and on arrival you will find Leasowe lighthouse either on your left (from Pasture Rd) or straight ahead (Leasowe Rd). Follow the road/track up to the lighthouse and you will see a car park on your right. Park here and walk up to the embankment and you have arrived.

View from embankment back to car park
The tide floods from the right, from 2 channels

into a gully (the gutter) directly in front of you.

This is predominately a spring/summer venue where you have a chance to catch school bass, the usual flatties, eels and mackerel.
Fishing is usually from approximately 3 hrs before high, up to the usual 1hr after. The early part of the flood is the prime bass window. Mackerel can be caught with the best time (according to locals) 1hr +/- of high water.
A short cast of 20 to 30 yards is all that's required and puts you in the channel.
