I've been putting new Sakuma shock-leader through it's paces last few weeks. WOW, this is good stuff - well impressed with performance. Definitely be using this exclusively from now on. Anyone who thinks all shock leaders are just the same really ought to check this out. If you're already familiar with advantages of Sukuma rig-body then you'll absolutely love their shock-leader

Agreed mate, can't seem to get on with their main line either. Brilliant stuff except it seems to deteriorate real fast so you got to keep changing it. Apparently it's a firm favourite with torny casters

Still say you can't beat their shocky and rig body for general fishing

Hey Jack, you just got me curious - what do you mean about a 'clear' shockleader? Do you think this is an undesirable feature, if so what's your reasoning?

BTW you can buy this product in different colours but I only ever use the clear

60lb clear is £6.35 for 100m

I came to the conclusion that tapered shockleaders were of little use for my fishing needs.

I`ve been using Varivas tapered shocky for a few years and have no reason to change......prefer the bright yellow stuff as i like to see where my gear is on the retrieve.......£6 for 5 lengths

I use the varivas tapered ones as well - no complaints, never let me down.
The only time i change is if i know I'm going to loose end gear then i use Penn Tuff Stuff in 80lb yellow so i can see it.

i like a clear rig body (just gives me more confidence)

But i like a orange shocky just because if you are night fishing the leader is easier to see so you can grab it and pull the fish up.
