When i arrived, it was the daily routine, Bacon Butty, Bait and pay my dues. The only trouble is, i feel as if my £13 is going to charity. I can't seem to win a match here.
Today i was trying something different. I would be one of the first to draw and get a peg i had not fished before....or so i thought. 23
Back in the car park the over 60s were having a meeting

The lake was like a mill-pond, but there were plenty of fish jumping

I made my way to the usual peg. It was the same, 18 meters across a few nice ledges either side and time to set my feeder rod up. Craig was fishing to my left, i'm sure thats a new pole he has...

My plan was to start at the far side on the feeder, then move to the bottom of the inside ledge...

Near to the bank on my right was the "if everything else fails" swim...

At the all-in, i launched a feeder full of pellet, corn and meat towards the island and diddn't have long to wait for my first screamer. I managed to get the fish to the side, then it decided it wanted to holiday on the far side of the island

After managing to land three carp, the feeder was becoming a mare. Most of the fish in the lake were high up in the water and spending a lot of time airborne, which lead to a lot of line bites. A switch to the pole was in order.
I had to work hard at my swim to get any reward. Eventually the fish came. Mainly carp with the odd bream thrown in for good measure...

My swim started to fizzle out, back across the other side saw one carp. I had to alternate between swims, though i had nothing in the last hour. The finish came non too soon and my donation went to someones beer money. But, i dont care, it was just great to get fishing again
My total...16lb 10oz.

Kammy seemed a happy man today or was it the relief of catching a few fish or the purchase of his new car, a C5 (sinclair i think)
