Hello again its the pain in the oops again can you lot give me a helping hand on setting up a rig to use with my carp rods

Anyway, you're a bit stuck wanting to just go localish and being restricted to either float or lure fishing.

Can't think of anywhere where lure fishing is going to give you much of a chance of a fish. And float fishing - only places are going for mullet in the mersey, but a lot more experienced fisherman try that and fail.

Have you looked around yet to see how to unhook a fish and checked the minimum landing sizes?

use a two hook flapper with 40z lead its what i used to use

The Alt could be worth a shot. 1 or 2 oz pear lead and a size 2 aberdeen ledgered with lug worm. you dont need to cast far for the channel (20ft in places !)

The flounders will give cracking sport on your light carp rod.
