Travel Beachcasters

Think this is an item of tackle that is becoming more popular with the advent of a bunch of new travel rods on the scene. Rods from Daiwa, Shakespeare, Fox, Ron Thompson, Shimano and Veals. The quality amongst that lot will vary wildly, obviously.

I have the Daiwa Wilderness 13ft 4 piece and it's a great rod, really pokey and easily capable of coping with clean, mixed or medium ground fishing. The Shakey and Shimano models look good too.

Anybody else got one or have any opinions on them?

That the Mike Ladle one Steve? Was thinking of getting one of those for plugging but plumped instead for the Shimano Exage 10/11ft multi-piece. That is a superb rod too.
