Thats the shame of it :( You could catch enough cod to keep you going for 6 months but you would'nt be able to bring it home. :roll:

skate and halibut

we get both here but this fishing is from the westman islands the skate are not as common here as the halibut but when u catch a common skate here it is big average size for halibut (greenland type) is about 50lbs but as you can see they get much bigger the 1 in the pic was 132lbs

I dn't suppose you fancy putting up any more photo's of the catches? I read the article in TSF recently, they fished from the shore and it looked amazing.

i am going out next week on a pre season reccy just waiting for my new camera so i have no excuse for not having any fishy pics steve mason does the shore fishing here it is good much better than the uk but for the really big fish u need the boat that is where i come in watch this space thou as pics will be coming soon

I think I will get up one day, but not in the next 5 years (got to get finish uni and find me feet first).

can,t wait to get out there lots of big cod in some of the deep water marks at the moment they are feeding on the caplien chance there to break my pb i think
