Cheers kev, I know a few lads who've fished it recently and according to them the weed has pretty much gone , for now.

Re: Talacre this sunday
Hi,
I fished the low at Talacre yesterday evening , it was a 1.6m tide so not quite as low as yours but not far off. Got the baits out around 2 1/2 hours before low, first 45 mins the weed and pull was pretty bad but fishable. Got three hounds, one about an hour before low, two others about an hour into the flood. Typically quiet over slack water. Stayed for an hour and a half into the flood by which time the water was racing in so headed home.
Two of the hounds were decent at 6 or 7 pounds, each of the better ones giving a great fight stripping line and running the tide.
Two on crab, one on squid.
I had a very enjoyable session, hope you do too mate.
Cheers
Andy

Bad luck mate,
I”ve been to Talacre a number of times this summer, half the trips have been ‘houndless’. All but one of the hounds on crab, best session coincided with me having fresh ones rather than frozen. Interestingly I’ve always had crabs for each session, however had nothing on some frozen ones I got online, all fish from fresh and frozen crabs bought locally. Last time I alternated with frozen from Harry’s in Rhyl and the online ones, nothing on the online ones…
Could be coincidence but I have zero confidence in the 20 or so left in the freezer!
Good luck for Monday!
