Mostyn High Water
Hi once again,
I have always fished at Mostyn either side of low water but seem to read more and more about people fishing it over high water, especially for the rays etc.
Once over the little bridge and at the top of the track I go to the left and down to the end, fishing off of the bank into the deep water channel. I have always thought it impossible to fish this over high.
Is this the correct spot for high or do I need to be somewhere else.
regards,
Gaz

My concern over fishing at the left hand end is getting the rig back up over the ledge, the angle you are fishing at and the depth of water surely mean that you will get snagged on the ledge in front of you that makes the channel for low water.

Fish more up the beach cast towards the orange boy by the big rock that where I fished the other day over high I didn't lose one rig a I wasn't use a gripper lead too the fish come up out the channel to feed as the tide comes in over the mud BankGaza wrote:My concern over fishing at the left hand end is getting the rig back up over the ledge, the angle you are fishing at and the depth of water surely mean that you will get snagged on the ledge in front of you that makes the channel for low water.

You can fishing on high to the left side but tide must be under 24ft over is unfashionable .I had a session from low to high with my fiend on October finished for 4 straps unfortunately no tornback

Thanks for the info, that does make sense now.
Does anyone ever fish down by the funship?
