Mariners 14/01/2006

Post by feederman »

It's exam period but this morning, the devil Kenny said we should have a break and go fishing.... I listened to the devil, tied some rigs, didn't care the big tide, didn't care it's a bit late, just brought the tackles and headed to the Mariners

We made our 1st cast at around 10:15, I gave kenny a 2 hook flapper rig, while I used a 1 up 1 down, just tried that rig out to catch some flatties to prepare a bit for the coming match at Otterspool 8)

Kenny got his 1st fish just after 5min, see how happy he was?

A lad came over and said :"oh beginner's luck" well Kenny is a real beginner but he's using secret rig tied by me, putting up the black lug well on the hooks :D I knew Kenny will show him how good a beginner can be.

another 5min, I caught a nice dab around 30cm at the lower hook. Before I've just made a cast, kenny got his 2nd fish.

Then I caught a small codling right after.

15min after high, we caught steadily, I caught a double header, upper hook a nice whiting while lower is a nice dab. My rig worked

Very nice weather!
Image
We packed up 1hr after high as the current was too strong.

Consider of the time, tide and we had short time to fish, 12 fish was not very bad , while many people were struggling to catch a fish but watching the beginner Kenny      .

Happy man with a bag of fish home:lol:

A chain of shops that specialise in optical equipment.

(aside: I nearly said that it was a chain of shops that specialised in optics, but realised that north of the border, this is called a pub :D )

Yeah it's a Konica K510z (Minolta G500), bought it 2.5 years ago. It's a Japanese ver. which I ordered in HK
Konicaminolta got an upgrade version G600.

if you want to buy a new camera, can consider Canon A610, Fujifilm F11(BEST in the business)

My camera should be the last camera from Konica / Minolta becoz around 2 years ago, they merged to become Konicaminolta, what a long name!
