You can access the mark by walking down the slipway by the Eggy Ferry pub from @ 3 hours before low water, depending on the tide/wind direction....the water gets deeper the further you go towards the ferry terminal, which is better for the codling as they prefer the flow, but it also gets snaggier,so expect to lose a rig or two. The whole stretch can produce codling, though if you fish the near/cleaner ground, you will increase your chances of success with greater casting distance, Usual rigs/baits will work with the majority of fish in the 2lb to 4lb bracket...

If you are looking for a longer session, you can fish from the prom near the tunnel vents and follow the tide out as it ebbs...there is a series of steps down to the beach from the prom, but take care as they can be a bit weedy/slippy. Similar to Vale Park, the action is usually best early on.
Directions.....Sat nav CH44 8DF which will take you to the Eggy Ferry pub at the bottom of Tobin St.. http://binged.it/1l88Zh8 where you will find free parking
