First go with pump..........

Used a pump for first time at Pensarn yesterday with moderate success
after i saw Gazzers bucket of fresh Linfords on wednesday,
I got about 25-30 in about half an hour but was getting a lot of
tails and in some pumps just the worms guts
I found putting the pump in right on top of the cast was more successful but
think i was pumping the wrong type of cast where the worm was too deep or
whatever,consequently my back,shoulders,arms and legs are in a bad way today

The angle going straight over the cast,makes it hard work in my opinion.....going in on a slight angle from an inch or two away makes all the difference.

Also reckon a bit longer pump would be better
on my back too

If you're pumping tails & guts it's likely because the worm are lying shallow. Try going in slightly further away from the cast or going in less deep on the first pump. Seems to do the trick.

At Pensarn there`s a lot of yellowtails with casts that look similar to blow lug....big difference is the casts you want to target will have a clearly visible hole in the middle of the cast.

Alright LAA, heres a pic of BlackLug Cast


BlackLug /Suey casts
they all vary in the number of curly sheeiite spirals there are, but all are circular and have the hole in the center.
Be on the look out for the girth of the sheeiite spiral also, as the wider the girth the bigger the worm.
