Century Customer Support.

Post by merseyboy »

Picked up my new rod from Gerrys last weekend. I had chosen a Century Excalibur during the week and collected it Sunday morning. The deal was done and I left the store happy with my new purchase.
Got home only to notice a small flaw in the tip section. This flaw wouldn't have effected the rods performance but would have bugged the oops out of me over time..
Anyhow I got in contact with Century in Newcastle this morning and explained the situation. I was dealing with Simon and he couldn't have been any more helpful. He said he would FedEx a replacement rod down to me today and it will be there tomorrow. He has also arranged for the other rod to be collected and returned to Newcastle.
I just thought it was worth a mention on this forum as to me that was top class after sales service and they will be getting my custom in the future. I'm sure Chris at Gerrys would have got it sorted also but nothing like going straight to the source.

I would of done the same, sent it back but good service.
I have bought a rod from Gerrys and didn't like it when I got it so he changed it for a dearer rod at no extra charge for the return postage. Well he sent the new rod out and the courier collected the other rod.

Good service. Picked up on a few complaints about the finish on century rods tho. Problems with quality control maybe?
