new on the forum although ive been fishing a while now
just a quick question to whom who will be able to answer
i picked up a colmic amira rod at the weekend 4.2mt
excellent quality rod with a bite detection like nothing ive tried
my question to those on here is would anyone have any infor or experience with the colmic range and would it be suited to jobs on the mersey
its rated 100g-200g just wondering wether it would be a tad on the light side

For a rod to be proficient over such a casting weight range would be, in my opinion nigh impossible to achieve.. take roughly the middle of the stated weight e.g 150grm (5.1/2 ounces as it's best casting weight with bait and you won't be far wrong.

i was fishing at the weekend over on the llyn with it throwing out 41/2 weights with bait and it was gorgeous to cast
was just wondering wether 41/2 would be enough on the mersey to get a grip
