3rd N.W.A.S.A.C. Summer League Match 2012, Sun 13.5.12

Match Report: 3rd Round of N.W.A.S.A.C. Summer League 2012, Sunday 17th June 2012, Rock Channel, New Brighton (44 rods).


The shallow low water channel venue just outside the mouth of the Mersey was filled to capacity for this match which was fished with a soundtrack of booming cannons as part of a pirate event at the adjacent Fort Perch Rock.
Unusually, the higher numbered pegs on the right of the beach had the edge with Bootle tackle dealer, Joe Perry’s end peg 48 draw proving a clear winner with runner-up Ashley Sampson unable to approach Joe’s measure and release total of 429 cms of mixed species but had the consolation of winning the roundfish pool.

2. Ashley Sampson (Blackpool), 361 cms, 9 dabs, 3 flounders, 1 bass.
3. Ian Brookes (Birkenhead), 273 cms, 9 dabs, 1 plaice.

Zone B: Joe McCarthy (Walton), 261 cms, 4 dabs, 3 flounders, 1 plaice.

Zone D: Derek Bibby (Crosby), 267 cms, 5 flounders, 4 dabs, 1 plaice.

Can't help but rush myself Ash! Hate being inactive and stuck in the house? I'm pushing myself in Physio and getting movement back quicker than I thought I would so hopefully back sooner rather tha later. Keep getting those good results mate

No Ash, that question should be" Bill, do you realise that the organiser of the FFA match at Walney have clashed their match with yours!?" Sure Bills dates were out a good while befor FFA put there's out to the public.

Can't make it,still unsteady walking over uneven ground and can't really carry any weight. Will stick to the promenades for now. Good luck all who are fishing.
