lead lifters

Hi All

I've not come accross these before. The local guy I met last Teusday by the Clown Had these on his rigs, he said he made them himself. How would I make them and what is there function. His were shaped pieces of plastic.

I`ve seen a few lead lifters - usually on the church roof

they are put between the lead and the rig short pointy end
on the rig
acts like a wing useful when fishing perch rock
or rocky ground
just another thing to get weeded up at new brighton
