Needed to get a bit of fresh air today so called to Prescot Angling for some maggots....met Ken on the way to my car and he was telling me that the known scrotes who have wrecked the big lake with their fires/rubbish/beer cans have been "persuaded to fish somewhere else"
....the central island has now been blocked off and the clean up is well under way....hopefully normal service will be resumed soon
I was`nt sure where to go today so Ken advised a trip to the barges at Hall Lane,Maghull as he`d heard it was fishing very well .....10 out of 10 Ken laaaaaaaaaaaaa,from the time i started fishing at 11.30am until i packed up at 3pm it was virtually a fish a chuck,with some lovely big bream,tench and plenty of small roach and perch.....will be back there soon for a dawn start
