I had arranged to pick Kammy up nice and early. So he could get his daily Nose-Bag

We were soon fed and watered and had a chat with the other blas members. The raffle (colin's retirement fund)
At the draw people were saying peg 34 is the flyer. Guess what i drew
The lake looked in good fettle, but there was a nasty side wind blowing across my peg. The pole would be hard to fish today...

We prepared for the next six hours. The match started and the nightmare began. The side wind was so strong, my pole was being whipped around with the gusts.
Trevor was having the same problem in the next peg...

The people to my right on the far bank, had a nice tail wind

Eventually, i managed to get settled down fishing at 10 meters. A few alterations were made to the shotting pattern and depth. The bites slowly started to come.
Some of the bites were brutal, with the elastic shooting out. Which resulted in lost fish. In the last two hours i increased the loose feed and the bites became more regular. I still seemed to bump more off than i caught.
The match ended too soon for me. But, finished up with a nice mixed bag of Ide, Barbel, Bream, Roach and Carp...

A section win with a total of 21lb 4oz...

Well done to Phil, aka (gorstyman) on the win
