Shacky....sorry to be a bore,but is your rod still as it was when it left the factory? Does it have Fuji BNHG's or daiwa rings? Thanks Mark

So is that with fujis or daiwa? The only reason i ask is the chap i bought my tdpk off had a HPBM that said SEA MATCH SPECIAL-HPBM...it had fuji BNHG'S and he said this was standard,as per factory build,and that all HPBM's should have fujis.....?I Promise ill put an end to this thread soon...it must make riveting reading.....

Mine are Daiwa. The sea match special are built by Tony's Tackle and they mainly use Fuji BNHG's. He buys the blanks and builds them himself.

Had the same problem with an old ABU. Literally pushed a plastic bag over the end of the male end. (Dare say a condom would work)

them trimmed it. It really does work.
Speaking to Middo , he has had the same problem and uses a cigarette paper to put in between the spigots.

Pats rod is Daiwa Paul Kerry TDPK , the 2 halves touch so I carry a small wax crayon in the tackle box, only needs doing a few times a year & works just fine.
