Far tooo many roach were showing,so i fished a tight swim near the reeds....good chance of carp/tench but not easy to get them in
A bigger view of the lake.....
After losing 2 carp and being pestered to death with roach,i moved to one of the bigger lakes.....
Decided to fish near some weeds n reeds at the end were the wind was blowin....
It`s a much nicer lake with plenty of features to attack,unlike the large main lake which,apart from the odd bush n reed,is a barren hole
Once in position it was nice to sit out the thunderstorms under a big brolly
Small rudd were peckin` at my halibut boilie,but it was`nt long before a small common @ 3lb was on the bank...
A couple of missed bites and more thunderstorms followed,before a lovely common of 10-12-0 made my day.....forgot just how much they fight on lightish gear
