Town hall /Gunia gap mon 19 feb

Postby mark davies » Mon Feb 19, 2018 7:44 pm

My youngest wanted to go fishing on the Mersey so today's times looked ok .called at Bonner's tackle on the way and town hall was recommended for the chance of a fish. So we went Just up from the town hall .we set up 2 rods each 1 with pennel with black lugg tipped with squid and the other with 2 hook flapper size 2 hooks with worm squid and mackerel.
Well true to form I blanked but Daniel managed to snare a nice Dab 30 min before HW which swallowed the hook down to his backside then he caught a nice little Plaice an hour after hw to say he was happy well until he lost a nice whiting right by the wall

Your not kidding there Steve. Was down the Thames a few years ago and my lad hoiked out a 3lb chub when I was teaching him how to fish in a spot next to a slipway on Wallingford campsite. I hevent seen a fish caught there in 20 years of going to that camp site but he managed it.
2018 species: At last  Whiting, Doggy, dab, codliet, flounder, French bass and thornie

Happiness is a rod in my hand  Shakespeare
