fairhaven 27th sept 2007

Postby fyshermen1001 » Fri Sep 28, 2007 12:25 pm

after getting drenched coping with the wind and the rain ,watching jay run around like a headless chicken after my bucket {which he stiil managed to lose } and finding out sony erricson k750i's dont like sea water decided on a nice sedate fishing trip out of the wind and away from the assult on the beaches at blackpool ,

we set of for fairhaven carpark and arrived early to secure my favourite spot by the steps ,

the carpark was empty as we pulled up and we set up to wait for the tide ,
high tonight was 12:20 ish am and was around 30 ft ,
armed with frozen black {left the macky in the fridge in rush to get out the house }

set up jays rod with 2 hook flapper rig and myself with 3 hooks all hooks were 1/0's with 2 glow beads and a sequin above ,

after setting up we sat and waited for the tide to arrive ,

the a couple of lads from wigan that we had met a couple of times pulled up and set up ,
and a local lad that hadnt been fishing long called ian pulled up {jay and myself helped ian out a bit setting up }

well what can i say as soon as the water came into view the bites started and fish after fish was hauled in {even ian managed to catch }was a nice night to be out cold and light winds ,
some good banter and mickey taking between ourselves and the wigan lads

we all ended up with fish

wigan lads 20 odd fish between them biggest aroung the 2lb mark

ian had fish at least 3

and jay and myself had 14 between us with jay having the most and the biggest again around 2lb

good night out arrived home at 2 am ish .............

now for some pics .....
