Fleetwood Channel.....27th May

Postby Shacky » Sun May 27, 2007 6:52 pm

Just the three of us turned up today. The sky was very grey, windy & cold, but the rain managed to stay off. We made our way down the beach. To fish opposite the Red Bouy. Young Michael Kam (Baby Shrek) had joined us today and was having his first sea fishing session......

Image

This is the view down river towards the Wyre Lighthouse.....

Image

Looking up stream to Knott End.....

Image

There were four anglers fishing just round the corner from us. They had been fishing here for two days and not caught a fish :(
We still had hopes of catching something
We got ourselves sorted out and ready to fish. Gave young michael a quick casting lesson. Then all in a bit late.

Now you have all heard of beginers luck

Virtualy just after Michael put his rod in the rest it was bouncing like a good-un
Just see what he caught........

Image

That had made his day, a 1lb 14oz Codling and a Flounder.... 8)

Image

After Michael was sorted out. Dave reeled in this pair of Flounders.....

Image

The bites continued right to Low water but we could not connect :(

I sat there thinking, It was my turn to be Les Dawson  .....

Image

Then just to rub salt in my wounds, Kammy lands a Snotty......

Image

I continued to get bites right to the end & managed to get one of the little fellas.....

Image

So that was that. I had no insize fish and got compleatly trashed by the Kams  . BUT i was well made up for young michael :D
Another junior well and truly hooked on fishing :) We need more.
2017 Species... Dab, Whiting, Rockling.
