leasowe gully 2

Postby DaveW » Sat May 26, 2007 2:57 am

After seeing pricey's post earlier, thought now's the time to give the mark another bash..,after a swift crabbin' sess with bigkev, picked me rods up and back down the gulley.
Walking down noticed someone already close by setting up..is it neil back for more?
.
Nope..no-one i know.
So introduced meself, and told him he was set up in a snaggy position, so he moved to where i suggested.
.
Loaded up with Fresh Peeler first chuck close in....and was setting up my other rod when suddenly a slack liner......hmm.
.
.
Losing bottom?
.
Bass on,.??
..
.
.
.
. Yep Silver bar.. :) well chuffed 1st one of the year.. :) :) :)
.

.
Alec's in. 8) , with a nice schoolie.. (he said his brother alan, uses this site and he won't believe he had a bass) so posting the pic for proof.. ;)

Next chuck my other rod is bouncin. 8)
Another bass.!! small but perfeclty formed.. :D .
.
Image
.
.
OK enough of the excitment.the flow is easing now, Flounder should be abound.. :) :)
And on cue,the tell tale single knock..
Image
.

Alec well chuffed now.. flounder on.. :)
.
Image
.
.
tide slowing right down now, almost highwater,
Another rattle..
.
.
Image
.
Slime merchant. :) ,.. never can avoid these snotty gits.. ;)
But he didn't do too much damaged to my rig.. 8)
.
.
Next was another wee flounder.
.
Image
.
10 mins before high now. and bites are few and far between,
decide it was my last chuck.
Small knock thought it was another flounder, but no,another schoolie to end the session with, ;) :)
.
Image.
.
.
Will try again soon, but made up of the result today,, ;) :) :) :)
Tight lines..
Dave.
.
Fish caught.
.
Alec, 1 Bass,1 flounder
Dave 3 Bass,2 Flounder, 1 Silver Eel
.
PS..All Bass went back safely.. ;) :)
