Postby moan it in mid » Sun May 20, 2007 7:13 pm

went to flint cob today to fish the WSF summer league match :D met up with jeff and brian by the HSS shop and collectted our gear and made our way to the dee :D we where there a tad early so we set up our gear and cast in :D as we hadn't fished together this year we had a group photo :D

Image

and a close up :D

Image

brian decided to fill his bucket from thr groyne and while down there to see if he could find any weights :D

Image

we didn't catch anything and were soon joined by the rest of the lads :D

Image

jeff was first in with a boot lace and paul tucker helped him untangle it from his rig :D

Image

then jeff had a better one :D

Image

and next it was brians turn with the biggest of only two flounders caught on the day :D

Image

then it was my turn, another spieces of the list, a silver eel of 10 1/2 oz
boy are they hard to hold onto

Image

this was the winning fish of the day, just shows how bad the fishing was :( , paul tucker, lian and dave w :D

Al also won the Moreton Anglinge centre spot prize for largest fish of the day

Image

this is a video l took by accident contains a little bit of swearing as l didn't no l was filming so you've been warned adults only :D

Thanks to everyone who turned up. :D Not much fish here today. It looks like the trawlers have done some permanent damage, to this once great mark, where you could always land flounder, and expect to have Bags of eels, They should be ashamed of themselves. So on that note Flint Cob will not be on as a venu next year. Congratulations to mido :D On his first place win. 8) And hope you all enjoyed the day inspite the poor fishing. :D Hope to see u all at the rock channel on the 16th june ;)

Nice one chaps :)
I should have been there :(
Also we have had a lot of rain as of late. This tends to push the Flounder out to sea.
