Conoflex make them they are not cheap, the WW is stiff as a very stiff thing because it is all carbon 13' casts 5/6ozand the source is a bit more mellow more like a match rod also 13' but with a softer composite tip aimed at 4/5oz,both nice rods both cost around£280,what else did you want to know?

The WW has a slightly slimmer butt section with a touch more give in the lower section than the Nemesis or the Enigma which were both designed as pendulum casters for rough ground work with stiff butts and fast taper tips.If I had to choose one of the three for all round use it would be the Welsh Wizzard which was also sold as the Celtic Tiger or the Claymore, same rod different colours.

Slightly stiffer both in butt and tip than the shadow and a faster recovery which you will notice if you waggle them together.

conoflex nemisis slr

Postby simond33 » Tue Dec 14, 2004 9:24 pm

it depends what you want to buy a rod for, a rod for either blasting a single bait or two small baits to the horizon or a fishing rod that will have good bite indication but still have the power to put your baits out at distance.

the conoflex nemisis i would say is a pendulum casting rod, the source is a very good rod with plenty of power.
if i was to buy a conoflex rod it would be the nemisis slr.
the shadow is a powerful rod which suits all casting styles, the choice of rod is down to your casting ability, dont buy somthing you cant bend.
try the tip tornado supermatch, good tip action with plenty of power in the butt and mid section.

hope this helps mate

conoflex nemesis slr

Postby dale hopkins » Tue Dec 14, 2004 9:49 pm

thanks very much simond for all your help, but could you tell me how the action is different on the nemesis than the shadow as this will help me judge the rod, i can cast 170 yards measured, i want a rod as light as the shadow but with a slightly tippeir tip but can still put 2 baits out 150 yards, the main thing is it being lite, many thanks again.......................dale

Have a look at a Greys PZ Match that should suit your needs as far as I can see as it is very light, will put 5oz plus bait 150yds+and has an excellent tip for bite detection at range, also about £100 less than a Conoflex.

nemisis slr

Postby simond33 » Wed Dec 15, 2004 8:42 pm

i would say looking at the greys shadow and the nemisis slr, the nemisis is light and as plenty of poke, i dont think there is alot of difference between them.
i would buy the nemisis slr given the choice between the 2 but thats totally my choice, i prefer zziplex and century rods.
if you are going to buy the nemisis shop around you can save yourself some money like big dave mentioned try malcolm at beaumaris.

It would be a new brown one as you would be very lucky to find anyone to part with an old one.
