5 Bar and Fairhaven 28/02/09 Low to High

Postby muzz » Sat Feb 28, 2009 5:07 pm

Not been out in weeks and was starting to get the shakes

My youngest daughter Abigail has been pestering me so last night i thought sod it lets go in the morning. Had a look at the tides and it needed an early start so left the house at 06.30.

The plan was to fish from low to high at 5 bar gate getting a few worms whilst there.

Arrived around 07.30 and straight into the worms. She really worked hard as I gave her some tips and we ended up with around 40 worm.

We got a rod set out and started moving back with the tide. Must have fished for just over an hour and half when I started getting the jitters about Sparkys little swim last week. Decided to pack it in and get some breaky.

Fall back plan was Fairhaven so we headed in that direction got some money from the hole in the wall had a subway breakfast and moved on to park in the carpark.

It took a while for the tide to come within casting range (20 Yards) so had a little kip in the car. (well after watching all that pumping she did I was tired  )

Just on high we had a little Dab.

Then about half hour later we had a Flounder of 9oz.

Not to bad a day in all. Of cause as it was the rod designated to Abi she claimed the credit and has just spent the last 30 min telling Heather how good she is at fishin :D

Next time out I have to take my youngest lad. I might get some time out on me own soon :?

Nice one Muzz, you'll just be the delegated driver soon :)
