marriners last night...

Postby jaygo » Fri Sep 26, 2008 12:49 pm

decided to have one last go at the thornbacks last night, and to also see if any whiting and coddos were about...first things first got myself of down to hall road to get some blow lugg and after an hour i had about 40 plump worms some of them were masssssssssssssive, next stop the chinese supermarket for some sqid and at £1.35 a box well worth it..

got set up on the bullnose at about 6 and never had a touch untill 8 oclock when me mate had a stonker of a bite on the rod set up for whiting   after getting it to the wall the fun began trying to get it in the drop net

and this one came up the wall after 10 minutes messing about getting the knot out of the drop net rope

Image

quickley followed by my whiting set up being nabbed by this one

and then ten minutes later again on the whiting set up blow lugg tipped with maccy i had this little cracker

Image

all 2lb of it    ..

all in all a very nice nights fishing (AND THE BEST SIGHT OF ALL WAS A SEA TROUT A HUGE ONE AT THAT CRASHING ABOUT IN THE MERSEY CLASS).

It has always been my private conviction that any man who pits his intelligence against a fish and loses has it coming.
