Perch rock 13/9/08 back in the swing of things.....

as promised arranged a session down at perch rock. first stop was MAC to pick up my new reel thanks again to brockster :D met the man himself aswell :o :lol:

got to the fort at about 2:35 and headed down to find it quite free of anglers so set up in front of the green boy to enjoy a nice days fishing...there was sun aswell :shock:

first cast and i was into my first ever gurnard think its a tub not sure as ive never caught one :)

not sure if its a good specimen though :? didnt manage to get a weight either but looked pretty good to me :D

that was it for me tho but was happy with it. my dad managed to winkle out a couple of small dabs aswell

great day for it and a new species :D :D :D

fella next to us seemed to pull in alot of dogfish ...but it might of been photoshopped for all i no :lol: :lol:

cant wait to get out again ...forgot what ive been missing :D

Great Gurnard there Parky :) :) :) In all the years I've fished there, I have never caught one. Nice one :) :)

Two of my favourite 'eating' fishes.

Tasty Dabs and even more tasty Gurnard ( one of nicest tasting fish in British waters ).

Looks like your's has funny kink deformity in both pics.
