relaxing day on the mersey

Postby plasticpaddy » Tue Feb 19, 2008 8:26 am

well not a lot to report really the day started at about 7am when we boarded stan the mans boat tusker all full of high hopes for a good days fishing, we anchored off the new echo arena mid river to catch the last of the flood and hopefully catch a few rays over the high but the fishing was slow a few fish here and there with ricky getting the only ray of the day a thornie weighing about 6lb (well done that man :D) i just couldnt get through the dam cod rats
we then moved down to the clock tower for the ebb but alas the fishing was slow there as well with me being the only one to catch a fish coddie about 2.5 to 3 lb (billy did lose one at the boat) then it was off to the town hall to try for the rays on the low but same old story only one fish caught a small coddie of about 1lb,but a very enjoyable day due to the good banter and good weather, and thats all folks :D

heres a few pics from the day

Looks like a busy day for all, well done Gents :)
It has always been my private conviction that any man who pits his intelligence against a fish and loses has it coming.
