quick visit to the island

Postby plasticpaddy » Thu Feb 14, 2008 10:24 pm

me, billy and cath decided to go the island today to visit some friends but of course we took some rods just incase
i picked billy and cath up around 6am and we set off, we arrived about 8, so we thought it best to have a spot of fishing as not to get anyone out of bed to early and headed for cable bay (shorter walk than ty croes)
we were set up for about 8.30 billy was getting bites from the off (very unusual i know) and to  even further he was first with a fish

a fine dab which he said he was targeting

it was approaching low water by this time and i was the next inline with this little fella

then me again :D

with this fella about 6lb

we left the fishing about 11.30 am as we had to get to ronnies to sort some stuff out which they did while i played on his new toy

after that we headed off 2 see flipper and sam where we had a feast fit for a king, sam had kindly cooked us a 3 course meal "and what a meal" (well i couldnt finish it)

billy with his afters

so a very big thank you sam and brenda

a very enjoyable day even though we never got to fish that long :D :D :D
at the end of the day it's night

Well in gents :)
It has always been my private conviction that any man who pits his intelligence against a fish and loses has it coming.

A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work.
