Brom wall 30/12/07

Postby muzz » Sun Dec 30, 2007 7:42 pm

Fished the high today with Simon and Heather started at 12pm finished at 17.00 High was 15,30ish.

Started very slow until around a hour before high when the whiting started to show.

Heather showed us how to do it by catching three at a time with a total of 9 against the 5 for Simon and 4 for me.

Just on high whiting went and we were hoping for mr Cod to show but sadly none took a liking to our bait.

Not the best of days but not a blank so we were all happy.

There were a good number of lads fishing today and from the few I talked to it seems we faired better than most 8)

I did get there but it was a bit crowded today, mind you first time I have been so could always be like that :) Sorry I didn't catch up with you but I got in to the left side around 11.30 and kinda stayed there.

It was a good day but like you say it was slow to start with my first fish came a couple hours before high to squid and was a 1lb 6oz flounder, and as you can see it went down well for tea.

After that coming upto high had 3 small whiting with the largest 23cm all to lug and all went back. There were a few small whiting coming up on the left but nothing in size.

It was a nice day and glad to see your daughter had a good day.

Sea fishermen are born honest. But they soon get over it.

Nice try guys.

I might try cherry tomatoes instead of lug/squid from now on.
