Waterloo Dock 19th Dec

Postby MrMikey » Wed Dec 19, 2007 11:47 pm

Having spent the day at a funeral I decided to have a chill out over in Liverpool

Fish Mark X from 3 before high to 1 after. Used 2 rods with frozen black and squid.

Nothing doing for the first hour then had a classic slack liner, I grabbed and realed but thought I had missed it till I got a cracking thump. I managed to get it to within a few feet of the waters edge before the Mersey weed blocked my end eye, ended up hand balling this thing up the wall.

Weighed in at 3lb 10oz a personal best for me. That was the last bite I got until realing in to go home and I took a smallish whiting on the move. A nice nights fishing but damn cold :)

Well in MrMikey !!

-5 inland last night so it must of been freeezing on the shore !

It has always been my private conviction that any man who pits his intelligence against a fish and loses has it coming.

Nice fish :) Where is all this weed coming from, considering the low tides and lack of wind. Is it something to do with the cold, or dredging :?:
Sea fishermen are born honest. But they soon get over it.
