Fleetwood Cadet Hut ....01.12.07

Postby Shacky » Mon Dec 03, 2007 1:07 am

The North Wall was our venue for today......But, the wind was a tad too much.....

Image

The spray was coming over the wall, two hours before high water.....

Image

So, me and Kammy waited to see who would show up. By the meeting time there was just the two of us. Then Daves phone started to ring, with the tune of "Big John"...Guess who :?:
Yes. JP was on his way, a quick call to Bren confirmed he would meet us at the Cadet Hut at Fleetwood. Number 6 arrived with food in hand  ......

Image

We made our way to Fleetwood. The wind here was from the side, but we were able to fish. At the beach we all chose a section between the groynes and prepared for the session.....

Image

Image

There were a few anglers here today. JP and Bren were in the distance.....

Image

My first cast in resulted in being dragged over the groyne. So, i decided to move to a small section with steel girders sticking out of the sand. No one wanted to fish it  . It gave me a good view of how the others were doing.....

Image

First chuck i was into a fish. Not the species i had planned for, But welcome anyway.....

Image

Every cast i was bringing in fish, but all under sized :( The sun started to set and more Whiting came out to play. Eventualy, i managed one large enough.....

Image

The weather was screaming Cod, non had shown up to now. Then, i got the tell tail thud, thud on my rod and landed this pair.....

Image

All went back to normal......Small Fish. The last hour a spent fishless. While the Cod Meister started baggin'.
Back at Brens van, after the match. We tallied up the weigh cards and got a few pictures of the Coddo :)
Bren had caught the largest at 3lb 12oz.....

Image

Kammy had this nice brace.....

Image

and my single, but very welcome Codling.....

Image

Our total of Codling, for the night.....

Image

Again, we had plenty of fish but most were too small. We had a great night non the less. Everybody managed to weigh :o
