So with my days off, headed to Vale Park for the late afternoon low tide
Breezy, but dry for a welcome change
Arrived at 2.30pm and fished until 6:15 - low water shortly before 6pm
Bait: Frozen blacks, Squid and some of the crab

Sadly, my first blank at Vale Park. Two rattles late on just after low water, but i suspect crabs
Other than that, baits returned untouched all afternoon
After moaning in the winter league matches about 27cm whiting, would have been most welcome today!
Off to the island for a conger chase tomorrow. Hopefully the fishing gods bring me a bit more in the way of fish

It’s been a tough gig on the river this winter.
Hope you have better luck with the conger Jeff.

Fished both town hall steps and perch rock over low last sunday. Couple of rattles and that was it. Think the fish have gone on their holidays.
