Hoyle bank.

Postby starfish » Mon Oct 30, 2017 8:32 pm

Hoyle bank, 30/10/17.

The weather looked perfect today to take the long walk out too the hoyle bank
and have a bash at some winter flounder it was too calm today for the bass
but the flounder are in there prime now and it gives me a brake from the river
i got set up just on low water and shortly after 2 other anglers arrived to my left
they set up and started pumping and i had a chat and found out it was tom and paul. :D

Image

As we were chatting i noticed my line was slack so i ran over to see what it was
and the first good sized flounders were out with a nice double shot for me. :D

Image

Image

No sooner had i landed them tom also caught a flounder
so we laid them out to see the size differences :D

Image

Image

Next cast i again had another good sized flounder
and the cast after that i had a smaller flounder and my day was over  .

Image

Image

Paul also struck a good sized flounder :thumb:
and tom had his next small flounder. :D

Image

Image

The only round fish to be seen was this beauty caught by tom.

Image

Sadly the sun was now setting and we were pushed back up the bank
and into the gutters and with no bass about and the flounder now to far out
we all packed up and headed home before darkness fell.

Image

But Then tom sneaks one last flounder out as we were reeling in
well done lads and keep at it them bass will show sooner or later.

Great pics! Was a gorgeous day to be out and the fish topped it off! just a shame none of us had a bass but the sea was like a carp lake!
