Post subject:  3rd Meet....Rock Channel Sunday June 1st
Sunday June 1st....Rock Channel (see venues directions) The smooth hounds and thornbacks make this the best month of the year on the Mersey,but you must be prepared for a long hard slog to reach the marks.Chest waders are a must as you need to cross a deep channel asap before yomping a good mile out through knee high water :badgrin: You will defo need peeler to tempt the hounds,and though the rays are also tuned in to them at this time of year,you will still have a chance of taking them on sandeel/mack baits.
Low water is @ 4pm so we`ll be meeting just before the Clown Roundabout from 12.30pm to get suited n booted and ready to go as soon as the water drops enough

If the hounds are on the feed,we`ll know in the first 30 mins....the rays can come at any time if they`re on the feed....other than that it`ll be dabs and the odd dog.....you have to put the effort in to get out there,but as ever there`s no guarantees.....you could have the session of a lifetime,or you could yomp til your legs burn,for a few dabs :lol:

Just bagged me self some chesties off ebay for £12.
If they've no holes in them I'll see you there,

We say it every year,but there`s always a few who think they`ve yomped far enough and stop to fish.....invariably they will have a poor session.....if you`re gunna do it,do it properly :idea:
