Uptide rod

I have been given a 6-10oz uptide rod don't really go boat fishing would it surpass for fishing the Mersey around town hall steps area on the Wirral side of river on a high tide yours bellebuster

Probably be too short for serious casting but it should work fine for close in stuff or down the wall.

A lot of uptiders are similar the top section of a normal 12 foot beachcaster with a short butt fitted so it will work but casting would be reduced as Steve says.
