Looking to get a stock in the freezer for the winter...anyone recommend a good area to collect them :?: Must be of a good size :think:

I have collected them from the supports at Seacombe Ferry on decent low tides.Big clusters like Farmer Giles.

I've not been down there for a few years but you could try stopping at Penryhn Bay on one of your crabbing trips. The beach was covered in big mussels

Scrape a long handled landing net along the dock wall (duke streets a good spot )I won't go on about how good the quality of them is check for yourself and post a pic of them compared to an open coast one if you try ...

Also attached to the oops pipe going into the sea at Llanfairfechan down to low if you are passing, the biggest ones I've ever seen.
Sea Fishing is the Dogs Danglies :D

The block on Formby beach offers very easy pickings and a some very good sized ones too. I took a bucket home one year...the walk back with such a weight isn't so fun though!

There's some massive beds at Brynsiecyn- with some monstrous specimens- the most intense colouring I've seen.
