Would Ainsdale be ok for pumping tomorrow as I'm in the area from the North east and thought I might give it a shot
Cheers

Went down about 2pm but not even Any blow lug available, presume the tide wasn't far enough out??
Out of interest, how many hours down towards low water until you get to the blow lug beds?
And do you just walk Straight out from the entrance to the beach??
Thanks.

Can`t help with the blow lug,as i`ve never bothered looking for it at Ainsdale, but the blacks often cast very late i.e 30 mins before low water.....been there plenty of times and can`t find a thing, then suddenly you see lots of casts.

Nice worm tonight managed 12 packs of proper linfords and 4 or 5 packs of smaller worm..as kev says 30 mins before low you would think there are no worms then there everywhere ....

That's a good return for an hour of so!
So am I right in saying it has to be literally bang on low water before the blacks can be pumped??
Is this the same principal for the blow lug also or can they be found further up the beach?
I'm very new to pumping on the west coast, I usually pump or dig on the east coast where the coast lines very different. Could blacks be pumped anything below a 1m tide Ainsdale/ Formby, Crosby Etc?

The problem I have is I'm not local & I only get down once a week while visiting my kids & I generally use the time before to do something fishing related, & would love to collect some bait given the right conditions- if big Kev or yourself could give me some pointers regarding tide & locations, that would be an enormous help!!
