North Wales. Bull Huss. 07/07/2019.

.

I seem to be going through the shark species list this month
but one fish was clearly missing from the list a Bull Huss
And the spurdog is still a work in progress, but that's a bit like finding a gold bar,
but there is still plenty of time left in the year for that one. :D

There clearly is no point in fishing for bull huss around the mersey,
so it was back down to north wales, and back out on the rocks. :D

It was big baits from the off again today with whole mackerel baits
and penells and 8/0 and 6/0 circle hooks.

The fishing was slow and somewhat snaggy and it was far to sunny
but after a long spell without any fish apart from a few dogfish
i had the first bull huss of the day for, 9lb and 1oz. :D

Image

Low water was approaching and time was also running out
and just when i was about to give up and head home
i took the best fish of the day for 9lb and 9oz. :D

No double figer fish were out there today, but they were still both good sized fish
so i was still very happy with how the day went and another good result.

Cracking fish Paul  I wouldn’t say no point, I had a 9lb 15oz one in the Summer League match at Perch Rock last summer!
